Disclaimer
Last updated: 26 August 2026
In short: every number on this website is an estimate produced by a simplified formula. It is general information, not personal advice. Before you borrow, invest, or file anything, check the figures with your bank, your chartered accountant, or a SEBI-registered investment adviser.
1. Who we are, and what this website is
CalculatorWala (calculatorwala.com) — referred to below as "CalculatorWala", "the Website", "we", "us" or "our" — is an independent, self-published collection of free online financial calculators aimed at users in India. It is operated by the owner of the calculatorwala.com domain. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any bank, non-banking financial company, mutual fund, insurer, broker, government department, or regulatory authority.
The Website is an information and computation tool only. We do not sell, distribute, arrange, recommend, or facilitate any financial product or service.
2. Not investment advice — we are not a SEBI-registered adviser
We are not registered with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) as an Investment Adviser under the SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations, 2013, nor as a Research Analyst under the SEBI (Research Analysts) Regulations, 2014, nor as a distributor of mutual funds with AMFI.
Nothing on the Website is:
- investment advice, or a personal recommendation to buy, sell, hold, subscribe to, or redeem any security, mutual fund unit, or other financial product;
- a solicitation or offer of any financial product or service;
- a forecast, guarantee, or assurance of any return, yield, corpus, or performance.
Where a calculator asks you for an expected rate of return, that rate is an input you choose. It is a hypothetical assumption used to illustrate compounding arithmetic — not our view of what any investment will actually earn. Market-linked returns are not guaranteed, past performance does not indicate future results, and mutual fund investments are subject to market risks. Please read all scheme-related documents carefully before investing.
3. Not tax advice
We are not chartered accountants, tax practitioners, or authorised representatives, and nothing on the Website constitutes a tax opinion, a certificate, or advice on your tax position.
Tax calculations on the Website are based on our reading of the Income-tax Act, 2025 — which came into force on 1 April 2026 and repealed and replaced the Income-tax Act, 1961 — as amended by the applicable Finance Act, and of the rates and slabs in force for the tax year stated on the relevant page. Where a page still refers to a provision of the 1961 Act, the corresponding provision of the 2025 Act applies. These provisions change — often annually with the Union Budget, and sometimes mid-year through amendments, notifications, circulars, or judicial rulings. Our calculators deliberately omit several real-world elements, including (but not limited to) surcharge and marginal relief on higher incomes, cess variations, set-off and carry-forward of losses, relief under Double Taxation Avoidance Agreements, presumptive taxation, and state-specific levies. Your actual liability will depend on your complete facts and must be determined by a qualified professional or by the Income Tax Department.
4. Not a lender, bank, or credit intermediary
We are not a bank, a Non-Banking Financial Company, a housing finance company, a lending service provider, or a digital lending platform, and we are not registered with or regulated by the Reserve Bank of India. We do not lend money, accept deposits, arrange credit, or receive or process any loan application.
EMI, interest, and eligibility figures shown here are indicative arithmetic. Your actual EMI and total interest will be fixed by your lender and may differ because of:
- the lender's own rate, spread, benchmark reset frequency, and interest-computation method;
- processing fees, documentation, legal, valuation, insurance, and other charges not captured by the calculator;
- your first-EMI date, any broken-period or pre-EMI interest, and the lender's day-count and rounding conventions;
- credit assessment, moratorium terms, prepayment or foreclosure charges, and applicable GST.
Our EMI calculator assumes a fixed annual rate for the whole tenure and monthly compounding on a reducing-balance basis, with no fees or insurance added and no rate resets. Real loans, particularly floating-rate loans, behave differently. Always rely on the lender's sanction letter, Key Fact Statement, and amortisation schedule.
5. Accuracy, and the limits of a formula
We build and test these calculators carefully and verify our assumptions against public sources, but we make no representation or warranty — express or implied — that any figure, rate, slab, formula, or statement on the Website is accurate, complete, current, or fit for your purpose. Errors, omissions, stale rates, rounding differences, and bugs are possible. Statutory rates such as small-savings interest rates, stamp duty, and tax slabs are revised by the relevant authority from time to time and may have changed since the date shown on a page.
Results are rounded for readability, so totals may differ marginally from a bank's or a spreadsheet's output. Every calculator states its key assumptions on its own page; please read them, because a result is only as good as the assumptions behind it.
6. No professional relationship
Using this Website does not create any adviser–client, fiduciary, agency, or professional relationship between you and us, and we owe you no duty of care in respect of any financial decision you take. You are solely responsible for verifying figures and for the consequences of decisions you make. If your decision is significant — a home loan, a retirement plan, a tax filing, a property purchase — get independent professional advice on your specific circumstances first.
7. Third-party links, advertisements, and affiliate arrangements
The Website may contain links to third-party websites, and may display advertising served by third-party networks. We do not control, endorse, verify, or take responsibility for third-party content, products, offers, pricing, or privacy practices. Advertisements are not our recommendations.
We may in future earn a commission or referral fee if you apply for a product through a link on the Website. Any such link will be disclosed as required by the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the Central Consumer Protection Authority's Guidelines for Prevention of Misleading Advertisements and Endorsements, 2022, and the ASCI Guidelines for Influencer Advertising in Digital Media. A commission never changes the arithmetic a calculator produces, and we do not rank or rig results in favour of any provider.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any loss or damage — direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary, including loss of profit, savings, opportunity, data, or goodwill — arising out of or in connection with your use of, or reliance on, the Website or any result it produces, whether the claim arises in contract, tort, negligence, statute, or otherwise. The Website is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranty of any kind.
Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under Indian law.
9. Changes to this Disclaimer
We may update this Disclaimer at any time to reflect changes in law, in our calculators, or in how the Website operates. The revised version takes effect when published here, and the "Last updated" date above will change. Please review it periodically.
10. Questions and grievances
If you believe a calculation, assumption, or statement on the Website is wrong, please tell us — we would rather fix it than leave it. Write to contactcalculatorwala@gmail.com with the page name and the inputs you used, and we will respond within a reasonable period. Grievances relating to personal data are handled as set out in our Privacy Policy; your use of the Website is also governed by our Terms of Use.
